Verizon drops all smartphones to $99.

It looks like verizon has just dropped the price of ALL smartphones [minus the tour and saga] to $99 including the HTC touch pro, diamond and the samsung omnia. They have also dropped the price of blackberrys.
Could this be to make room for the touch pro 2, diamond 2, or omnia 2? Only Time will tell

Interesting to note that Diamond came out when Vogue was still available, so as Omnia.
So, they might release Touch Pro 2 or Diamond 2 or Omnia 2 even if they don't run out of previous models, cause there is still a lot of users that go for cheap price.

I think the only way that it could be iPhone related is if they are trying to get rid of old phones quickly enough so they can bring out the TP2. TP2 is for sure an iPhone competitor.
