once again that is not the original version i repeat lol this is not the original version released over seas. that is the Telus version along with them stating that the cdma version will also include the jack

They should add a compass to new phones too. When I first heard the 3GS would include a compass I thought to myself, wow that's a useless gimmich, but I just saw this new iPhone app called across air that uses it to create an "augmented reality". In practice it actually looks super cool.

The TP2 doesn't have a camera flash :(

99% of the time I use it for a flashlight, and I use it alot. This is one feature that is keeping me from getting the TP2. I really don't care about the 3.5mm jack since I use bluetooth. I think it is a waste of valuable space.

just get you a cheap little light for your key chain. the one i have works better than the flash anyway. The 3.5 mm is a bonus though. You will get better audio quality through that then with wireless bluetooth headphones. Which is a bonus for me because i do music

Then just carry the little dongle around for the headphone jack. The argument works both ways. I don't find the quality that much different. My BT device uses a 3.5mm jack so I can listen to the music on BT and Wired with the same headset and they sound nearly identical.

The only real difference I hear is the volume is lower on the BT. It is digital audio, not RF broadcasted so there shouldn't be much degradation unless the BT device stinks.

Its a big deal to me because I like to listen to music on my phone and its no surprise that the battery on the TP sucks. So it's nice to be able to charge and listen at the same time and I too hate having to carry around the adapter. Plus I use my phone for music in my car...

well im psyched. I can agree, no deal breaker, but its nice not to have to carry around the adapter with me. I use my TP to play music over my stereo in the car with an old cassette adapter. Now i wont have to have the extra 3.5 adapter hanging off. Hoping this isnt just Telus though, hope we see it on Sprint

Here's my thing. We buy blue tooth head sets so that we don't have to plug a wire into the phone to talk. Correct? Now why would you wanna plug a cable into the phone to listen to music? Just Buy blue tooth stereo headphones,, just my 2 cent

agree'd, I got my apache for that very reason. in my case it's a safety thing, too many wires, ladders, ect..
I gotta defend my other peeps by saying music is meant to be shared with others, and headphones are only good for one, and maybe one significant other... lol.. :)
more devices need to work with bluetooth though, although bluetooth was never the best technology.

I can honestly careless about that feature. I barely use my stylus anyway unless im reseting my phone. that feature doesn't make your phone anymore productive and they probably saved money by dropping it. The screen still turns on when you remove the stylus.

well, yea, but I don't think there's a way to use both simultaneously. I'm just saying any headphones you can share if you get 2 heads close together....
and more stereo's have 3.5 or rca inputs
but a good point that 3.5mm can be split easy enough.

you kidding me? i lost both of my tp's stylus' in a matter of two weeks because they fell out randomly while my phone was in my holster. I never lost one with my mogul. I'm glad they did away with it.

the PSP one sucks.


I used to work at bestbuys geeksquad and we would have to package customers ipods and send it to the service center.

We used to ship ipods to our service center.. and it would come back fixed sometimes, other times it would come scratched up and the customer would get all pist at us...and we would get yelled at even tho we had no part in the scratching itself. lol.

PRP. I mean I can literally throw my ipod at an wall walk into my cousin's best buy and walk out with a new no hassle. My motto is I didn't pay for the plan I paid for a piece of mind ;) most stuff I buy/have is insur. Soooo no worries for me not that I ever break stuff just never know!

i cant remember how many times i took my touch out of my pocket to find that the stylus had come out....i think it sucks they got rid of the feature..plus it is kinda cool to attach the stylus to the side of the phone, on the outside of the stylus slot and seeing peoples reactions..

can you post a link with that info. i have a euro tp2 in my possesion and there is def. no flash. they may be adding it just like the 3.5 jack to the us versions but id like to see a link or something

They should just call it a flashlight now and make it double as a camera flash. When our power went out a month ago, my wife was scrambling around trying to find a flashlight and candles while I just used my phone to get the generator started.

I was back inside with lights plugged in before she found a flashlight.
