Re: CNET First Look HTC Touch Pro2
From what data gathers:
The Samsung B7610 Omnia Pro is powered by an ARM1176-based CPU (with a dedicated graphics acceleration) running at 667MHz. There's 2GB of on-board flash storage and 135MB RAM. As I said its not perfect..the 135mb RAM seems a little weird though..but thats what was stated. ________ Michigan marijuana dispensaries Last edited by gTen; 04-14-2011 at 01:53 PM. |

Re: CNET First Look HTC Touch Pro2
Lets not bash people personally (unless they are ones responsible for delaying the TP2 lol)
In more detail its not exactly 3.5 stars..its more of: Design: 8.0 Features: 7.0 Performance: 8.0 Overall score: 7.7 So its score they give is 7.7...The part where it falls short is the Features..and since not having 3G is considered into this review...I don't see 3G being worth only 1 point...1.5 if not 2 points minimum. Anyways lets take an iPhone 3G S as an example: Design: 9.0 Features: 8.0 Performance: 8.0 Overall score: 8.3 As you can see the scores are not that far apart and if I adjust the TP2 in consideration of 3G: Design: 8.0 Features: 9.0 Performance: 8.0 Overall score: 8.3 it would have the same score... Unfortunately CNET's score is not phone specific but more generic...you have way more categories then just 3... Let me try to name at least 10: 1)User Interface 2)Signal 3)Design 4)Applications/Utilities 5)Customization 6)Battery 7)Performance Features 9)Camera 10)Sound Quality 11)Sturdiness ( extra just for the hell of it) Phones and smartphones especially are coming closer to that of a computer...I don't see a Laptop review based on 3 categories. Also I wanted to add: The reason why WM is seeing so much bias is because WM is not being presented properly. Unlike iPhone and Palm Pre and etc, WM was made for PDAs and it provides a miniature computer type interface meant for businesses. But WM is a platform and with enough App design even WM can be very initiative as we have seen with all the skins...The carriers and manufacturers all seek to make things fast and easy...rather then develop and improve upon it...I mean the time they spend to develop their crapware... I am not a big fan of Microsoft but WM is a mature platform with a HUGE amount of applications....many are free even and have been developed for years. The fault here lies with the manufacturers who try to skim down on RAM and ROM which makes the WM not able to function at its fullest...I mean I can get an 8gb microsd card for $20..if the phone retails for 500$+..is it hard to include 1GB-2GB rom? or even RAM...512mb please? Point is WM is more of a Platfrom OS aka default...if the carrier wanted to improve it youd be surprised how awesome they can make it look and work using same old WM...but that would require them to put in more memory which would cost them more money(and I dont mean to manufacture..more money means they need to come up with future phones for you to buy so they keep features at a minimum) ________ Avandia Settlement Last edited by gTen; 04-14-2011 at 01:53 PM. |

Re: CNET First Look HTC Touch Pro2
whoa whoa whoa, for the people who same the tpro2 and tpro are the same except the better device body, your wrong....
The processor is 7601a, compared to the tpro which is 7501a....this increases it's speed completely, and it has the possibility to have WM7 official upgrade....also the WVGA makes it all the better with a better interface and more perfected UI Now you cant overlook the facts, the RAM, ROM, and Camera are the same....but thats it, nothing else really I mean who cares if the tpro2 doesnt have 3G capabilities? Sprint will be releasing an upgrade rom that will unlock the 4G speeds...and now with the better made device body how can you go wrong? I mean, you cant go wrong with buying the gsm version because the developers are way better....but I've talked to 3 major developers for the GSM devices udk, Da_G, and dcd....all of which said they are leaning towards the Topaz, and I might be too...the only bad part about the D2 is the missing keyboard, other than that it's either the same or better But I'm not getting either I'm holding out for the HTC Superstar/Leo

next standard for CDMA is EVDO REV B, sprint decided to dump EVDO and head in the WiMax direction, hence a different Radio. There is a radio chip which is suppose to support all frequencies including wimax/gsm/lte/cdma but I doubt they will put that in. Also..I don't know if the superstar is the type of phone we'd expect..if you look at the leaked chart..Rhodium has a 480x800 screen res...the superstar on the otherhand has a 800x480 screen res...which means to say that Rhodium is being held right side up while superstar sidewards...so either it is a flip like a side kick or a phone like the advantage..(this is all speculation though) ________ ULTRA ENGINE Last edited by gTen; 04-14-2011 at 01:53 PM. |

also...accelerometor or not I am trying to point out that its strange that they labeled the resolution like that...in comparison to the others..it may be that those aren't phones but concepts for a mobile TV or something(as an example)...I do not see why Rodium is labeled 480x800 while superstar is 800x480... ________ LESBIAN TEEN Last edited by gTen; 04-14-2011 at 01:53 PM. |
