Re: HTC Hero looks great!
If you search on youtube there are quite a few videos out there for the Hero right now. The more I watch them the more I want this phone. At this point and honestly don't care which carrier it comes out on in the US. I'll make a switch to get it. Watching this video in particular sealed the deal for me:
http://www.coolsmartphone.com/news4844.html ... the excellent implementation of predictive text entry looks fantastic!!! Also, this video makes for a great showcase of the phone's flash capabilities: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZLOndllpUM&NR=1 All this in combination with not having to deal with WM horrible interface (which is still near impossible to escape, regardless of which UI you throw on top of it) makes for a very enticing device.

Re: HTC Hero looks great!
I'm interested in seeing Hero's and Tpro2's OpenGL Benchmark ratings side by side

Re: HTC Hero looks great!
HTC just keeps busting out the best stuff!
Lets face it, the reason so many enjoy TF3D is becuase the wm interface is week. I've been looking for a good reason to try android just because wm isn't doin it for me. This is it! I will most likely switch unless wm and htc come up with some impressive changes before then... |

Re: HTC Hero reviewed!!
Thanks much for the review link!
Couple things worth noting. The reviewer stated a couple of times that he wasn't working with a retail sample. He also seemed to be a bit misinformed. He suggested that the Hero is using a resistive screen (which it's not) and that HTC only uses resistive screens at this time (G1 and G2 both had capacitive). |

Re: HTC Hero reviewed!!
Saw the hands on galleries on engadget Mobile...and the Hero is exquisite. The phone is rumored to be released with Sprint later this year...one can only hope.
