Re: HTC Hero looks great!
Finally a decent looking device running andriod. The tmobile g1 looks as ugly as a sidekick, almost like a kids toy. I would strongly consider switching to android with a device like this. At the same time though I still feel weard about using a operating system designed by an internet search company, hell for a while it looked like the g1 was he only phone to have andriod so who knows how long it will last. Notice the HTC interface is needed to make this phone cool. The andriod itself is somewhat boring in its bare state.

Re: HTC Hero looks great!
I think you are being a little unfair. The Android User interface is actually pretty good. After all, mobile shell is essentially ripping it off with version 3. Now the Sense UI does look awesome but it is simply an upgrade just like tf3d is an upgrade for WM and as far as the device goes it does look nice, and I agree about the G1. There was actually an article on Gizmodo yesterday by an iphone owner that was gushing over the build and feel of Hero, and lamenting the build and feel of the iphone.

Re: HTC Hero looks great!
FYI for everybody...
The UI on the Hero will NOT be on WM, HTC never said it will come to WM devices ,when they stated that when it releases on future products they meant their Android devices (the mixup was caused from websites that did not get their facts straight) "Sense" is the idea as a whole when it comes to useability and design (Make it mine, Stay close, discover the unexpected) not the name of the UI on the Hero (which is nameless ATM) WM's Touchflo3D-2 is HTC's "Sense" for Windows Mobile devices so when it comes right down to it we already have it. Just not the same one Android has (what i love most about this design is that HTC hacked the interface into Android since its open dev. making it a whole rather than a coverup, therefore making it all part of one OS, IMO this is the HTC OS i have been waiting for) Last edited by MikeElGiga23; 06-26-2009 at 02:54 PM. |

MobileBurn site asked the HTC representative if the Sense UI is comming to WM too. The answer was NO. Also due to licensing problems with Google and integrated Exchange client, only pure HTC phones with android will have Sense. Tmobile G1 and HTC Magic are not included. Quote:
