Re: Leaked Pictures of Sprint HTC Rhodium (AKA HTC Touch Pro 2)
no magnet on top of many other trivial things left out on purpose.. only to force us to upgrade next year for that special magnet feature.
rediculous how htc plays games with us. |

My opinion this is just my opinion the bigger screen...better spaced out keyboard and better tf3d is enough to sale me on gettig this phone. Yes the small things matter but its small things to a giant when I look at what more I'm getting out the tp2

Only time will tell, but some of the first reviews of the TP2 are indicating even LESS BATTERY life than the TP.
![]() I am sure the cooks can improve whatever OEM is, but it certainly would sux if the battery life (with a larger battery) is even less outta the box. |

in fact one video review I believe TEKN said they were able to use GSM version for 45 hours with moderate - heavy usage connected to 3g we'll have to wait and see though |

I too have noticed the bulk of the reviews to be "better battery life" but did feel it worth mentioning that was not unanimous. In fact my hunch is the "older processor" probably was selected for a specific reason. Battery life may have been part of it. As for "older processor" I think that should be put into perspective as well. Its an "older model number," but that really says very little at all about its capabilities. |

Re: Leaked Pictures of Sprint HTC Rhodium (AKA HTC Touch Pro 2)
I for one actually like the "stealthy" look Sprint has done the TP2 up in. Granted orange wouldnt of been my first color to include in the battery cover but i think the design is pretty tight. One of the main reasons i had to get rid of the original TP was because of battery life, i barely got through the day with my usage. I own many different devices and just picked up a Treo Pro which so far has been great. I reallllyyyyy want the TP2 and have been waiting to hear a official release date so im hoping July will actually be the month for us Sprint users to pick this one up.

Yea it is just silly. But I'm lucky, the screen isn't important enough for me so I'll just skip it until the TP3 when they'll put the flashlight and magnetic port back lol.

![]() All of the Rhodium Touch Flo updates in the TP2 are currently available in custom ROMs on this board (I'd reccommend Psyki ROM) so that's not a TP2 selling point for me. Most of the hardware specs are the same to. So I've broken my impressions about TP2 into a list of pros and cons: Positives:Frankly, the negatives kind of outweigh the positives in my mind. However, the bigger screen is a BIG positive, but then again having to pay for two HTC touch devices in one year is also a BIG negative. Last edited by veo_; 06-07-2009 at 09:36 PM. |

Re: Leaked Pictures of Sprint HTC Rhodium (AKA HTC Touch Pro 2)
Does anyone remember the name of the guy that was working "behind the scenes" when the TP came out in Oct. He kept us all updated down to the exact minute they shipped out. I was able to be the first person in Arkansas to own a Touch Pro thanks to that guy.
Is he still lurking around here? If there is anyone that knows when it'll come out, he'll be the only one I trust!
