damn man, and HTC with snap draggon. Not even the HTC superstar is gonna have that. Its gonna have the same ROM and GHz as the HTC TOuch Pro too. So if your lookin for snap dragon, i think you gonna have to jump off HTC for a while. But if a HTC phone with snap dragon and a 3.5 touch screen does come out then its a no brainier.

On the following site you will see the chipset for the SuperStar and Star.

SuperStar comes with the nVida AP16 chipset - Tegra
Star comes with the Qualcomm 8250 chipset - Snapdragon

Yea. I mean in terms of ROM and Ghz. But the speed on the superstar is faster so.. you got it

edit: I just did some research. The dealmaker for the HTC superstar is gonna be the Nvidia Processor. So if that comes out this year I will. But most likely it wont(and wont for sprint I might have to go to ATT and get it unlocked)

When you say USA you mean sprint or Verizon? I bet my left #$%^#$ that we will see this phone. Even if its gotta be unlocked like the Sony Erison Xperia One now for sale at Best buy as an unlocked phone. It never did make it to any of the carriers however, but still, I totaly understand where your commin from.

Re: TouchPro 2 vs. HTC SuperStar(Q3?)

With all the Tp2 and 6.5 ROM's out here, it really doesn't seem worth it to drop that kind of money on a phone that is virtually the same except for the Tilt and better battery life

Can't agree more about the lack of hardware buttons and the missiong scroll wheel.

I'm def. not liking where HTC is going and I'm not rushing the upgrade to the TP2. It just doesn't have that "wow" factor that came from the Mogul -> TP shift. I mean the major wows from that just were the RAM and the VGA screen to say the least. We had a major RAM pain point on the Mogul and the TP fixed that. Now we're looking at an upgrade that is essentially the same with a removal of HW buttons, dropping the flash, and a slightly bigger screen? I'm not sure it is my cup of tea.

The TP is already a brick as is so a bigger screen will make me feel like I'm carrying two bricks lol. The Touch Pro 2 just doesn't seem to offer any real wow factors for me. All of the software enhancements will come to us via a cooked ROM anyway so what is the rush?

Maybe if you need GSM support, but I don't roam internationally enough to justify another huge drop on the Touch Pro 2. If I did I'd just use that basic GSM phone I have sitting in a box somewhere.

no.waiting for snapdragon/tegra for better video performance. 7500 is just too slow. currently have a diamond, calkulin 4.1 cooked up the perfect device for me.
