Technically its not even beta... Its just leaked from other phones with WM6.5. We are modifying it to work on other phones.

Heck, Between MS, the manufacturers, and the carriers, they could shut down about 90% of what we do with the ROMs and porting the software to phones they never intended it for. But they don't since we:

• Provide them with a valuable resource that maybe, just maybe MS in particular seems to be listening too
• Beta Testing, however unofficial
• We're the biggest cheerleaders for WM phones out there
• How many developers do we support as customers, keeping a steady flow of new ideas and cash coming
• Most of us change phones much more rapidly than is the norm. Would we keep doing that if MS & company drove us underground or stomped us out of existence? Why kill a steady source of revenue and a core user group at the same time.

The biggest producer of Windows Mobile-phones, HTC, also says they don’t have any plans to take action against ROM sites. “What happens there isn’t allowed” says HTC Benelux-CEO Mark Moons,

Thanks for posting! I think Microsoft/HTC's less-than-encouraging attitude is because they don't want to sound as if they don't pursue their copyrights like crazy.

In reality, I think they honestly are thanking us. There's no reason they shouldn't.

Funny I notice someone else is also sending out take down notices to web sites who re-engineer software (some used on a very popular CELL phone) and this time because it is costing them money by getting by their digital rights management used by their proprietary MUSIC DOWNLOAD site which will cost them money....

I support and respect whatever decisions the Mods take on each and every notice they recieve.
