Will Windows Marketplace Kill PPCGeeks?

I dont think the Windows Marketplace will have any affect on PPCGeeks.

The content of the new site would be controlled by MS. They may censor the information on their site. The knowledge you gain by visiting site like this one would make the powers that be at MS cringe. MS doesn't like the end user thinking outside of the box.

I don't see alot of the regular visitors to sites like this spending alot of money on MS sites.

Marketplace or not, I'm certainly not going anywhere. And I certainly don't see Microsoft allowing the kinds of tweaks and adjustments to appear as apps in Marketplace. And let's not forget the ROMS...

It has nothing to do with a marketplace. I still hang out at (the very active) ipodtouchfans.com site, and apple has an app store

I agree. I can't wait for the market place to come. I will push dev's to create even better apps if they are going to make money. look at the apps on the iphone. most of those apps i wish i had on my touch pro.

I came here to talk about phones and new devices coming. I don't come here for apps or questions about apps, but thats just me.


Can't wait for the Apps to come though, When I get that TP2, I will juice it up.

my thoughts exactly. I think the only traffic it'll decrease is the "can someone help me find...." traffic, and that's a good thing!

Agree, although I just remembered I had a account here, and just started really posting. I find it fun just to talk with others about all of our Phone and Tech addictions lol. I don't really come here to ask How to do this or that. So if the people that come here to ask the questions kind of fade away....oh well.

Nah, the marketplace stuff ain't gonna hurt PPCGeeks (or the other social sites). We will come here to rant about that stuff they are selling.
