Diamond2 and Touch Pro2 announced by HTC - Page 35

Sorry if this has been answered, but does anybody think these phones will be released as CDMA devices? It seems there's only GSM specs out there right now, but I think the original Diamond/Touch Pro specs were only GMS too, despite later CDMA releases.

bigger screen on tp2-great! tilting screen - fine.

but the same hardware??? same processor, same memory, no flash ... 1 year later!!!

whould i exchange my tp for tp-2 today? certainly. but I hope when it gets here, probably q3-q4, whith all the dealys as usual, i hope there will be better WM phones out there.

sounds to me like theyre just trying to get rid of leftover cpu/hardware stock..
pushing out some half crap phones just to clean out their warehouses of stockpiled cpus and boards.

cleaning it all out to ready for next years REAL phones.

im definately on board for a TP2 but by the time it comes out, my eyes will be set on something else.. maybe a new carrier!!!!

Thats the SAME thing i'm thinking..Why would I spend all the more money just for a bigger screen and a tilting screen? I could see if it had more memory etc..

Yeah but hdmi output sounds kind of cool doesn't it? If it was 300 or less, I would seriously consider it. If they try to reem me, I'll pass until tegra.

Maybe they will bump up the memory in these things before it gets to us.

You saw they pulled the TreoPro back to add more memory, maybe the TP2 and D2 can have some extra loving.

I havent had my TouchPro longer than a mouth and I already want the TouchPro 2!!! Cant wait til' it comes out

I am still up in the air about getting the 2, depends on price and memory difference like others have stated. But if the price and specs are right, I am there with bells on.

I'm ready to trade my Touch for a new phone. I was ready a long time ago. I wanted the Diamond, but it did not have a SD slot. By the time the Touch Pro came out I wanted the Touch HD with the larger screen and the 3.5" jack. The Touch Diamond 2 is perfect for me for the following reasons.

1. SD Slot
2. Larger screen
3. Will be upgraded to WM 6.5 - hopefully upgraded to WM 7.

It would be nice if it had a 3.5" jack.

Can Sprint direct HTC to include the 3.5" jack for Sprint branded devices?

after much deliberation I have concluded that there is no reason to upgrad to the touch pro 2. The main reasons are the new Touch Flo 3D(Which is being ported to touch pro as we speak) and the larger screen. But the screen is not really worth it unlit more hardware upraged come with it. Sooo yea. Chew on that, but really, I cant wait till the new touch flo 3d with integrated sms and emails is finaly ported. Cheafs please cook this into your futur roms!
