Re: Dell to launch Android and Windows Mobile phones
Yeah, the last three PC's I have owned were Dells. My current XPS Dell PC has been great since I unboxed it over a year ago. If the devices have some real firepower and bring something new to the market, I'd definitly condering buying one.
It said that Dell does not have any deals with companies yet. Why do they even need to strike a deal with a company? If they sell unlocked GSM and CDMA phones than it will not restrick what they can do with their devices like Verizon loves to do with phones they put out.

Re: Dell to launch Android and Windows Mobile phones
I used to think Dell was a great company until my last few PC's and ordering experiences have been flops. Hopefully this goes better because those androids look great

Re: Dell to launch Android and Windows Mobile phones
I do agree with the more competition is better, but what about MS wanting to limit or scale back the number of devices that run WM?

Re: Dell to launch Android and Windows Mobile phones
I don't know why everyone is using their pc experience as a guide for what to expect. The hand held market is very different. While some of Dell's older hand held devices have actually been pretty good they just didn't have the lasting appeal or ability to stay fresh that other device manufactures have had. But I agree, more products makes the market better for us.
