Re: Microsoft Hints at Things to Come

it all depends on the freedom these next OS's will allow... WM has thoroughly spoiled me by it's tweakability... it's why i'm still on board.

All we need is a hardware manufacturer to step up and build a hot rod and they will have to run production 24/7.

This will be awesome. A phone as powerful as an xbox running WM 6.5.

I think its been proven its not the hardware that sells devices, its the software. Look at what the original iPod user interface did for mp3 players, and what the iPhone has to the phone market. I'm not an Apple fanboy by any means but no one can deny they make awesome interfaces. Palm and HTC have even confirmed it with their latest offerings. Of course hardware does play a part in it, but not nearly as much as the software.

True, true, however hardware eventually will become a selling point once the "newness" of the interface wears off. Look how many 3G iphones were sold. The selling point was faster, more memory.

Re: Microsoft Hints at Things to Come

they are lowering the amount of devices with winmo on them. So it makes for better development time and more time to get all the tweaks done. we dont need the storm fiasco
