Re: HTC USING nVidia Tegra processor for future devices
Guess I'll be waiting a little longer to upgrade my Vogue...

Re: HTC USING nVidia Tegra processor for future devices
I stopped by the NVIDIA booth at CES and no one was standing around the Tegra display so I walked up and had the rep giive me a quick demo of the device. It was plugged into the display via HDMI and it was mighty impressive. When I showed him the Touch Pro he just laughed and showed me what it could do. The scrolling menues were all animated and he'd hit the one with the video playing. It expanded to the screen size and the picture was gorgeous. There was a little stutter sometimes when he rotated around the menus but nothing serious and it didn't happen all the time. But, it was cool seeing the prototype up close and in action.

Re: HTC USING nVidia Tegra processor for future devices
Since it was a prototype it was pretty big.. The rep said that their platform is made to fit in phones the size of clamshells or large PDA style phones.. just depends on what the client wants and how many features they wanted. The size of the prototype was probably 1.5 times the size of the Touch Pro.

Re: HTC USING nVidia Tegra processor for future devices
A little bigger and about twice as thick.. Defintely not something that's production worthy but something just slapped together to show off what it's capable of in a small size.
As far as battery life goes, no comment as they don't know once the folks put the tech into the phone and all the other stuff that goes with it. [ QUOTE=SaltyDawg;649252]So would you say it was about the same size as an iPhone?[/QUOTE] |
