Re: Consumer Reports Top Smartphones (2008)
Any included justifications or descriptions of how these ratings were arrived at? (besides half -filled circles under categories titled "Ease of use").
Presumably these were created by a very "average" user. Maybe if we were an average joe off the street, we'd come up with similar reports. |

Well, I guess if you review the Pro/Diamond OUT OF THE BOX you might not get that great of a score. But you cannot beat the ease you can mod these phones. Even Android does not have as many applications out there.

Consumer Reports tests are all done in Consumer Reports labs by scientists, and are not influenced by what people say. No rating is affected by anyone.

+1 for that. Pretty clear by the number of I-Phone users that drank Steve Jobs' Apple flavored Kool-Aid. These are the same folks that are astounded as to what WM can do when you show them.

i dont put much stake into the consumer reports rankings. they put the Wing 2nd, really?!? 64mb RAM on an old slow phone? i think that says a lot right there in itself putting more capable WM device much further down the list. they all run the same OS and hardware wise even the Touch let alone the diamond are much more capable hardware. Therefore i put little into these "rankings."
