The rumors I've read have an AT&T launch of the Tilt (aka Kaiser) some time next month. Modaco has thread with a bunch of pictures of the Tilt applications. (http://www.modaco.com/home.html)
This is so funny. Pictures of the Verizon 6800 have been around for 9 months without a release and now AT&T are releasing an even newer generation of HTC's phone before Verizon. I sure hope at this point Verizon is just skipping the 6800 and just be the first with the next generation CDMA version of the Kaiser.....but very doubtful. BTW, saw a Sprint logo'd Touch today (proto only). Pretty nice touch screen that is a lot more intelligent on the finger presses. But not enough hard keys for me. |

ATT Tilt Release
Per the Boy Genius Report the "Tilt" should be released 9-25-2007. Only one week to wait for you ATT people!!! The rest of us will have to wait for the CDMA version. 2009 / 2010?? By then at least all the bugs should be worked out.

If the telco formerly and once again known as AT&T is getting it, then you can get it on T-Mob by buying it at the other place and putting the T-Mob SIM into it.

i have a kaiser and it's amazing.
at+t here in nashville offers hsdpa. and as much as it pains me to say it, i don't miss ev-do. this thing is truly amazing, aside from "battery life". i did a good bit better on my 6800 lol. eric b

The Kaiser is an evolutionary step for GSM phones from the Tytn (hence why it's also known as the Tytn II) and hence we will never see this phone on any CDMA network.
However, as many can see, the 6800 greatly resembles both the Tytn 1 and II, and basically is a CDMA "sister" phone. I would imagine sometime in 2008 we will see a 6900 or otherwise that will more than likely be a slightly upgraded CDMA version of the Tytn II... And then comes the Tytn III..and the cycle continues... Now, there's a possibility we may see an update before then - who knows. I mean, Sprint is getting the "Vogue" this fall/winter which is just a Touch with 128mb of RAM and a 400MHz Qualcomm processor. If you don't mind the lack of the slid-out qwerty then maybe this is the phone for you! It would seem to me, though, that at the very least, a 128mb RAM version of the 6800 has to be around the corner for those of us that just can't be without that lovely keypad... Personally, I don't plan on switching from Sprint for a while no matter what phone goes where - SERO plans are just too freking sweet. |
