Re: New pics of the Raphael
Mostly these phones will probably around the same as the mogul or touch when they get to a carrier. That price is also for unlocked gsm version.

Re: New pics of the Raphael
Comments have been made about the lack of buttons, and I've agreed with them so far, but one does concern me: the apparent lack of an OK button on the front or side. Can't confirm it yet, as we haven't seen everything, but besides the scroll wheel, the OK button on the side of the Mogul was my most-used hardware button/function. Much more convenient than tapping the OK button in the corner, not to mention some applications lacked an easy X button, making the hardware button even more useful. Hmmm...

Re: New pics of the Raphael
Well, they are just publishing what Google has claimed. No idea if Google or anyone else will stay on schedule but it sounds about right. When you see the demos recently, it's obvious that they have come a long way. If past years are any hint, they will probably try to have something out by that greatest of gadget-buying times of the year. That way I can buy one 4 months later when they have been thoroughly run through their paces by the *geeks community

Good point. Holiday time is your guess? I don't think anything significant will hit until 09. |

HTC Touch Pro Officially Announced
Courtesy of Coolsmartphone.com 04 Jun 2008 Well, here it is guys - the official press release for the upcoming "Diamond-with-QWERTY-keyboard" known previously as the HTC Raphael. We've seen it previously as the T-Mobile MDA Vario IV but the press release reveals that HTC will be selling it as the "Touch Pro" across Europe, Asia and the Middle East later in the summer. The US version is also confirmed, arriving later in the year. Essentially this handset has all the goodness of the HTC Touch Diamond we've been spending the last week with, but you'll get yourself a spring-out keyboard, external memory (via the microSD card slot) and 512Mb Flash with 288Mb of RAM. You can see up-close images of the HTC Touch Pro gallery, or read on for the full press announcement from HTC. It looks like the guys from devicewire are on the case already ! Register your interest here. Links - Pre-Order - More pictures - htc.com (Press release will appear later) More... Last edited by Limegrntaln; 06-05-2008 at 08:50 PM. |
