I've tried making a custom rom for the q9c also, I read somewhere you need to re-write the crc info at the beginning of the .sbf to get the flash to get all the way to 100%, now that doesn't garauntee that the flash will work. (still trying to manage that myself...)

I don't think that's true. I'm able to flash a custom rom I made myself completely, even RSD Lite says PASS, but the phone gets stuck in bootloader.
