Got my Moto Q yesterday.

I kind of like this device but I have to wait to till Tuesday to active. Since the ISG @ Alltel is closed.

lol and I just deactivated mine and starting using my Treo again (nothing wrong with the Q, in fact it's generally great, I just got bored again).

You should still be able to tons and tons even with it not active. Just learning the whole "homescreen" and plugin thing will take some time. Lots of fun though!

At least you have tons to read here and in the Applications section you'll find some of the best apps.

Mike got a Q too, dang!!!

Enjoy it, it is a very cool device. At least I am not bored with it yet, but I still play with my Treo a bit as it is active on my second line. Right now I am playing with the WA3 public beta.

Well I messed around today and got tech support to activate it today. It kind of upset me. My q plays the slingbox so much better and the colors are more vivid. Also alltels evdo seems to be faster than sprints....but they just upgraded the towers so what can I expect. I think I will carry 2 phones from now on. :P Now to find useful apps and the homescreen thing is something I need to look into also.

lol. you're going through what we all did: you planned on either not liking the Q or thinking it'd be subpar, instead you end up being real surprised

The Q's screen is top-notch. Very bright and vivid like you say. Kind of wish the Treo's was like that. but that's the benefit of no-touchscreen!

yea I'm loving it so far just don't like all the keys on the same pad. I try to scroll and press the home key or some other one. But its gonna be mainly voice except for when I'm watching the slingbox. And yea I wish all the screens had the color and clarity of this device, but as u said advantage of no touchscreen. I'm just trying to hold over for the 6800/HTC Mogul. :P

That is my only gripe with the Q. I don't know how many times I have done simular things. Just wait till you play with the Bluetooth & A2DP on the Q, it's just wonderful.

I see you guys posting all over the internet in the pocket pc forums. I am have the 700wx and really love it, but I have an itch for a new device. I had the flip pantech smartphone before switching from verizon to Sprint Sero plan and loved it. How are you guys liking the Q? How is the battery life? Can Opera Mini be run on the Q like the pocket pc?

I am really worried about the battery life? I use the treo for some streaming but mostly push email and browsing during the day while out and about?

With the right settings I get 3 days from a standard battery with norm. to heavy use. Very happy I switched from the ppc-6700. I can't comment on the 700wx, but I like the size and functions of the Q better then the wife's 650.

I agree the Q is better in most factors, just wish it was touchscreen, that's whats keeping me from getting that one.
