Pictures and Videos
I'm having trouble with my Picture and Videos app. I can't really describe what the problem is, just take a look at the pic. I cannot use the menu at all. Anybody else had this problem or know how to fix it?

Not sure what is going on with your Q. My Q is working fine though. The only thing I can think of would be a soft reset (which you probably did already).

Now that i remember this did happen after i installed the new .dll(s)
here are the ones i installed: browsres.dll is for your (internet explorer) outres.dll is for your (tmail) syncres.dll is for your (Active sync) i can't think of which one would be the one that is messing my Pictures and Videos up. I'm not giving up yet... and if and when i do, could i get the .dll(s) that you have? thanks |

The only way i have been able to copy/move the dll(s) is by renaiming them. for example taking of a "l" of .dll, and then you can copy/move. but first and foremost you have to do a back up (Sprite is the software i use) just to be safe. and then putting back the "l" (or renaming it to its default name) and then it should work. i don't know if you feel comfortable doing this, but this is the only way i know of...unless someone knows of a better way.

Nevermind. I decided to just do a hard reset and start all over. It was also slowing down and causing my Q to crash when i ran the JGUI Vista interface (http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=24120). Oh well...

fixing the photos and videos
I too had this problem. The way I found to fix this problem is as follow:
1. use a program like total commander and rename the browsres.dll file to something like browsres.dll-old. 2. windows will automatically recreate the browsres.dll file that comes with WM5 3. do a soft reset Thats it, now the problem is all fixed. If you look closer you will also notice the date on the recreated browseres.dll file is older than the replacement. Go on and enjoy. |

And here is the .dll (check the post topic towards the bottom) that is causing this: http://www.ppcgeeks.com/wm6-sytstem-...-19-t5032.html
