You're not talking about the "screen buzz" are you? e.g. when the screen is on (for the first 10-15 secs after you answer the call, depending on your settings) the screen makes an audible high pitch buzz.

That's the only thing I've heard of in regards to your situation. It's not really a defect as all the Q's do it...you can just force the screen off via the lower left key of course. Not sure if this is what is happening with you though.
