Backing up & Charging Screen.. you too?

Hi folks,

one of the things I find almost 'unacceptable' about this Q thing is that I cannot schedule a soft reset or do the next best thing: a nightly backup while I sleep, because if the Q is plugged in while it restarts it won't...restart. Stupid Battery screen hangs there.

So..does this happen on the Sprint version as well? If so, do you guys just manually backup or do you not do it at all.

I've been backing up nightly since my Treo 600 and I feel this makes no sense

I didn't even think of that. I've been doing manual backups but the rumor on Qusers is that Sprite is not even working as it should on the Q since the MOL2 update so all of this might be a moot point till that is resolved.

I guess I don't understand the 'meh' attitude about this in the Q users community. Also shows the disastrous effect of Sprite not having any competition here. Same for Motorola, in a way. What's up with that startup battery screen crap anyway??

Anyhoo, I thought this problem only affected those restoring from pre-mol2 to mol2. I know I've restored several times (with Sprite 5.2) Mol2 to Mol2 with no issues.

fellas - I have the Sprint version and I have to do a manual backup. G - yes, I saw what you meant the other night when my scheduled BU went off while I was looking at it. It hung on the battery screen. However, the BU itself in manual mode seems to work fine.
