Almost have MMS working on Sprint Q - Help still needed
First post here and I am so glad this site is back up because its great. I have a Sprint Q and I have an MMS composer running fine on it but heres the problem, the MMS won't send and I feel I'm getting close and the solution is right under my nose. I'll attempt to send an MMS and it'll sit in the outbox with a green arrow then a clock then sometimes a red x and it looks like internet is working because the internet icon appears and the arrows move or it eventually says unable to place call. A member at another forum noticed something that is probably the problem in the log file which I'll post but it appears no number is being attached to the from field. I've been working on this so hard for days and I would love to get it working so any help would be very very appreciated. The log file looked like this -
I found a notepad document in my UAContents and it was called send.txt here is what it said - Start Sending MMS Subject is : picture From is NULL To is : ********** <-number I sent to Cc is : Bcc is : Send Result : 547 Mime Package : \My Documents\UAContents\MMS UA\23131.dat mm1lib for WINCE wap2.0 (HTTP)version :2.0.5.13 [build : Jan 26 2007 14:07:08 ] log file level : 4 Configuration: name:sprintpcs gateway: gateway port:80 mmsc uri:http://63.215.195.152/servlets/mms retrieve quickly:1 report allowed:1 max send size:307200 max retrieve size:1024000 try count:4 send recv timeout:5000 lastack timeout:4000 wtp max retry:8 log file level:4 packet size:1000 enable wap2:1 connection via:{436EF144-B4FB-4863-A041-8F905A62C572} log file path:\My Documents\UAContents\MMS Log\ [28870896, Wednesday, January 30, 2008 7:44:27 AM]Using WAP2.0 HTTP directly [28870913, Wednesday, January 30, 2008 7:44:27 AM] dump m-send-req pdu's header: The transId is: 30704801705075394945 The Mms Version is: 146 The date is: 1201700666 Wrong!!!! no from address the To address is: ********** the subject is: ÃÂ* the subject is encoded as: 20 70 69 63 74 75 72 65 the message class is: 128 the Priority is: 129 the SenderVisibility is: 129HTTP SEND RECV 240 the DeliveryReport is false the read reply is false the content type is: application/vnd.wap.multipart.related [28870988, Wednesday, January 30, 2008 7:44:27 AM]HTTP POST method url: http://63.215.195.152/servlets/mms the POST REQUEST HTTP header is: User-Agent: ArcSoft/MMSUA/PPC/v4.2 Accept-Charset: us-ascii Accept-Charset: utf-8 Accept-Charset: iso-10646-ucs-2 Accept-Charset: iso-8859-1 Accept-Charset: gb2312 Accept-Charset: gb13000 Accept: */* Profile: http://www.htcmms.com.tw/gen/wizard-2.0.xml x-wap-profile: http://www.arcsoft.com/mobile/UAProf...UA-PPC-v42.xml Accept-Language: en Content-Type: application/vnd.wap.mms-message Content-Length: 61615 [28871943, Wednesday, January 30, 2008 7:44:28 AM]HTTP Write file:71/62048 [28871948, Wednesday, January 30, 2008 7:44:28 AM]181 Bytes/62048 Bytes [28871952, Wednesday, January 30, 2008 7:44:28 AM]4277 Bytes/62048 Bytes [28871974, Wednesday, January 30, 2008 7:44:28 AM]8373 Bytes/62048 Bytes [28871977, Wednesday, January 30, 2008 7:44:28 AM]12469 Bytes/62048 Bytes [28871982, Wednesday, January 30, 2008 7:44:28 AM]16565 Bytes/62048 Bytes [28873055, Wednesday, January 30, 2008 7:44:29 AM]20661 Bytes/62048 Bytes [28873129, Wednesday, January 30, 2008 7:44:29 AM]24757 Bytes/62048 Bytes [28873371, Wednesday, January 30, 2008 7:44:29 AM]28853 Bytes/62048 Bytes [28873585, Wednesday, January 30, 2008 7:44:29 AM]32949 Bytes/62048 Bytes [28873856, Wednesday, January 30, 2008 7:44:29 AM]37045 Bytes/62048 Bytes [28874039, Wednesday, January 30, 2008 7:44:30 AM]41141 Bytes/62048 Bytes [28874248, Wednesday, January 30, 2008 7:44:30 AM]45237 Bytes/62048 Bytes [28874493, Wednesday, January 30, 2008 7:44:30 AM]49333 Bytes/62048 Bytes [28874711, Wednesday, January 30, 2008 7:44:30 AM]53429 Bytes/62048 Bytes [28874950, Wednesday, January 30, 2008 7:44:31 AM]57525 Bytes/62048 Bytes [28875163, Wednesday, January 30, 2008 7:44:31 AM]61621 Bytes/62048 Bytes [28875404, Wednesday, January 30, 2008 7:44:31 AM]HTTP End Request [28876440, Wednesday, January 30, 2008 7:44:32 AM]Http Pick Response the RESPONSE HTTP header is: HTTP/1.1 200 OK Date: Wed, 30 Jan 2008 13:44:14 GMT Server: Apache/1.3.37 (Unix) Resin/2.0.5 DAV/1.0.3 Content-Length: 46 Connection: close Content-Type: application/vnd.wap.mms-message [28876446, Wednesday, January 30, 2008 7:44:32 AM]HTTP Read file:61686/62094 [28876456, Wednesday, January 30, 2008 7:44:32 AM]HTTP Pick Response OK Decode header:0x0c Decode header:0x18 Decode header:0x0d Decode header:0x12 Decode header:0x13 [28876512, Wednesday, January 30, 2008 7:44:32 AM] dump m-send-conf pdu's header: The transId is: 30704801705075394945 The Mms Version is: 144 the response status is: 225 the response text is : Service Denied!. After reading some more I saw that PPC users have a field in the composer they use where they fill out who its from and I don't see that on my Q so thats got to be the problem because I've compared my log to the logs of PPC users and see that everything essential for sending is right except where theirs say from-7025555454 mine says NULL. So I just need to do more fiddling around and something good is bound to happen. I know the MMS is attempting to send because the internet symbols appear. So just keep you're fingers crossed guys.

Re: Almost have MMS working on Sprint Q - Help still needed
Which specific MMS composer are you running on your Q? Everytime I try to install Arcsoft on a Smartphone, it seems to work, but cannot handle the Back button correctly. It treats the Back button as though it's the PocketPC OK button, and closes the current window. Also, I think sometimes the composer window opens, but then immediately closes.
Also, I'm really trying to find a good, generic MMS composer to install onto CDMA Smartphones, such as the Qwest PPC5800, or the Samsung Ace (SPH-i325). My carrier, Cricket, allows foreign ESNs, and has MMS. Fortunately most pocket pc devices can be flashed with custom ROMs, or Verizon/Alltel ROMs, with built-in MMS support, so it's only Smartphones that are lacking MMS... Thanks! Jay |
