Re: Call Issue possible fix!

By any chance, has anyone that hasn't had any problems done a hard reset? I mean by resetting through the bootloader?

Yeah, me too. These problems, silent calls/proximity sensors seem to be so intermittent it's hard to tell whether it's hardware or software. I haven't had the silent call since I hard reset and took out the sim, but since put it back in for giggles. But my proximity sensor stops working at different times with different methods but a reboot fixes it. I'm considering exchanging but I'm affraid I might get one with the same problems.

I haven't had any of those problems...havent removed sim card...I have GV installed...I was getting freeze issues cause I'm too impatient they started after SPB install...After reset it seems to be okay now...Motorola is gonna be doin a patch fix to alleviate sum problems including the one you're talkin about...so I got to wait it out...I'm cumin from a EVO 4G and I never had a freeze issue...But this phone kicks its ass..so I just gotta be patient ...within six months I'll probably be lookin at sumthin newer and better...And I'll purchase another one (different phone) for sure ...but as of now this phone rocks and guys on here will cum up with fixes for most of your problems...Ive been goin to this other site too..( Motorola Photon 4G - Android Forums )... there's a lot of help there as well....

LOL! Naw, when I stated exchange I meant exchange for another Photon! This phone does rock and runs circles around all 3 of my Evo 4G's. Although, my Evo 4G's are still great phones. Your like me though, I still have another upgrade coming and I will be upgrading soon enough just cause I can't sit still. You know what I mean?

I'm Gator352 over at android central. Been going there for years as with here. IMHO, I like PPCGeeks better...just seems more personal here and a lot less trolling action.

Well lucky you!!!! LOL!

I have only had a handful of call issues but I never had to reboot. I just had to hang up, wait a few seconds, then call back and it always worked. When I did have this happen though, I was always in a grey area of reception and will admit it could have been more of a network issue than a "call issue". But to be honest, the proximity hiccups annoy me more! It seems to happen after a few calls (incoming/outgoing) and totally intermittent, but a reboot fixes it...for a while. Like Ronney said, they will put out an update fixing most issues.

Yes I did, still have the same problem. Only way to fix it is to power down the phone. Very aggravating.
