Activity Messaging (in application Messaging) is not responding

Anyone gotten this message: Activity Messaging (in application Messaging) is not responding

I've been getting it lately when I leave my text message thread open and hit the power button to lock the device. If I hit the home key before I lock the device the error doesn't seem to happen.

It will also happen when I just let the device lock after a minute or two. I've already performed a hard reset and it happened again under the same circumstances listed above, with no apps installed. Should I bring her in and get it exchanged, or is this a configuration/update coming?

Re: Activity Messaging (in application Messaging) is not responding

i got this a couple of times and was able to reproduce the problem manually. here's what causes it:

open the messaging app, then open an existing conversation. now shut off the screen. turn the screen back on, tilt the phone horizontally (landscape) but don't open the keyboard. now swipe the slidelock to unlock. when the phone unlocks it will be inside the messaging conversation window displayed in landscape but the text box will be grayed out and the app will appear to be frozen. if you tilt the phone to portrait and back to landscape and back a few times, you'll get the window with the error message. if you hit the "wait" button, the app will unfreeze and you'll get full control of the messaging app again.

seems like pretty straight forward bug. should be easily fixable, as long as the firmware guys are aware of it.
