If you go to the android homepage you can look into a few hundred of the available apps there, and there's a lot of talk about apps at www.androidforums.com. Just looking through the 300 or so apps listed at the android homepage was enough to see that android has all the apps I need, but you have to actually be browsing the marketplace from a handset to see them all. I've looked through the market place from my vogue using the android on it as well.

I have a touch pro 2, but if this was possible, it would work around the problem of not running apps from the SD card (I read that somewhere) as well as working with wm 7 when it comes around. Because of the resistive screen on the tp2 it isn't immediately ready for wm7 whereas this phone would be.

I would love to have win mo on my droid just for syncing functions. But then it wouldn't carry over to android anyway so guess there is no point. That and it took me almost a month to get my imagio running as fast as my droid, trying to get win mo to run correctly on a device not made to run windows mobile would be a never ending battle I feel.

personaly, I miss some of the organization and polish from winmo. I want total commander, and a cascading foldered ap drawer. And some way to quickly swap between open aps, like quick menu. I'm sure tjese things are coming, along with predictive dialing, abetter call history and a more tightly integrated calendar...

Can't wait

This is already available. Just tap and hold on the home button. It brings up the open apps list.

Nice! I didn't know about this, I'll have to tell my wife, she has the Moment.

As far as the porting question goes, I'm not sure if it would be legal. Correct me if I am wrong: since Android is open source, it is perfectly legal to port it to any device that is desired. However, WM is not open source, and due to copyright (?) infringements, you can't port WM to a non-WM device under the same legal blanket. True?
