Re: Who's gonna get this on sprint?

Thanks look forward to hearing your (and everyone else's updates) but I've been slammed at work and haven't had a chance to check but I have not forgot!

Ok seems like right now we can't though the info I was given was that even though Verizon may activate sprint phones Sprint will not at this time and the primary reason was how data was setup however with Win Mobile and Android I don't see why this is an issue, with dumbphones I do.

Re: Who's gonna get this on sprint?

i'm probably gonna ask someone about this when I take my Touch Pro in later this week (problems again of course) but I didn't think they did this at all so that's interesting. I really didn't want to have to go to Verizon but was really thinking about it for this phone... we'll see. Sprint plans are SOOO much cheaper.

Does anyone know the MSRP of the Droid? Also, what do you do at Verizon when you just want the phone without the plan? How can you do this? Or do you just buy it off Ebay? lol

Re: Who's gonna get this on sprint?

I thought the Droid was an exclusive phone to Verizon? The way these phones have been going, exclusivity seems to be the trend. iPhone on AT&T, palmPre on Sprint, and Droid on Verizon?

In that case I doubt you'll ever see an official Droid on Sprint, at least not while its still relevant. By the time Moto would feel comfortable selling this to Sprint, I'm sure something newer and better will be out =). Also, I think the reason we don't see many Verizon phones on Sprint is that there haven't been any phones good enough to try and port over! This is the first time Verizon has had a non-gimped, exciting phone that Sprint didn't have!

Re: Who's gonna get this on sprint?

I've heard motorola reps filling in sprint employees on an up and coming motorola droid with 800Mhz CPU etc. for Sprint some time soon...

Anyone else hearing this?

According to Verizon's website... http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/store/controller

You can get this phone a 3 prices depending on your contract commitment.

Month to Month $559.99
1 year $369.99 (-$100 = $269.99 if you buy it online)
2 years $299.99 (-$100 = $199.99 if you buy it online)

Hope that helps.

Trying to bring this thread back to life? Has anyone had success with putting a droid on Sprint with the esn number... no cloning?

Re: Who's gonna get this on sprint?

This is a sad day. I'm graduating college soon. I'm Sprints perfect customer and they are forcing me to go to another network because of their inability to enable their me or offer me a decent phone. Yes they have the best rates. But that is a simple supply and demand. If you supply crap no one will pay anything competitive for it! I hope they go bankrupt soon.
