Verizon Droid Phone: Vote on Looks alone.

I don't like the chin and frankly can't understand why it's there. If it were absent the front of the phone would be dominated by screen as a poster said above. That would create a very slick looking device, especially when the thinness of this device is considered in spite of the presence of a sliding hardware keyboard. I'm hoping they lose the chin and gold accents for the final version but based on the leaked site these both seems unlikely at this point.

ugly, but not too ugly to use. the chin looks stupid and while i cant speak the usability of the keyboard i am not a big fan how that looks either. the tp2 is a whole lot nicer looking, imo.

i like the huge screen ... i like that there is a keyboard .... but the cosmetic design is like motorola from like turn of the century or something ... its like out of tron or the original star trek

I think it will grow on me. the lip is the worst thing on it but I think it will definetly improve mic performance.

That's my big hope for the droid - that it will be a very good phone as well as a powerful handheld computer.

I have loved my htc devices but the phone voice quality has never seemed to be really great. I know my old star tac was the bomb for talking ... the moto Q wasn't bad either - but horible as a smartphone - my samsung i730 had a decent call quality but I hated the proprietary chargers and the fact I couldn't have wi-fi and phone working at the same time...


also I think the pics so far don't do it justice - when it is jazzed up with a nice colorful theme everyones gonna see the screen and the lip will not even get noticed...

at least that's what I am trying to tell myself... lol ...

I would have definitely liked it more if they lowered the screen all the way down or cut off the "chin" of the phone. I am down with the angles, but that last part just looks weird and it looks like more Android phones have the same look in that respect.

I bought the phone yesterday morning. Does look better in person... or maybe I am just desensitized to it as I have been looking into the phone a while...
Got two, one for me and one for my wife. She loves the phone and after all the crap about looks before, she asked me to verify this was really the phone she thought was so ugly before. We still don't think its pretty by any means though...
