bootloader issue plz help

ok i just bot a droid from a friend that was stuck in the bootloader. i thot i could fix it so i flashed it with sprecovery then i installed the a 2.2 rooted ROM thot that it would work. WRONG. i rebooted and it still is stuck in the boot loader.

Battery OK
OK to Program
Connect USB
Data Cable

plz help me i ask him if hes tried to flash it him self and bricked it and he said no so plz help with this prob thanks
