battery life help?

My droid is getting a wide range of battery life. Sometimes i wont use it at all and all of a sudden I'll be at 5%. Other times after a day or lots of use i'll have 70%. I have already tried calibrating the battery and I have tried replacing the battery. I'm running the latest bugless beast with the solar winds live wallpaper (i was using koi pong before and my battery life was about 2 hours) I'm overclocked to 1125 mhz when my battery is over 50% and 950 mhz when the battery is less that 50%. I don't use my phone that much. I use wifi tether for about 30-45 minutes a few times a week. I was wondering if anybody knew of any apps or hacks or tricks to help my battery life? Is this normal?

ps. i have tried changing my clock speed & switching roms. I have also checked my battery usage in my settings and there is nothing unusual there.

Thank you very much in advance!

Re: battery life help?

Which governor are you using as that may affect your battery life. Also on the droid anything above 800mhz actually decreases performance in benchmark test. It's not always about the speed.
