error send msg count

i have this problem with a text i was sending a text to my aunt and it didnt send and tells me that its unable to send the text msg over and over and over again iv cleared it and erased it with no luck it always comes up....i rather not wipe it so is there another way to get rid of it??? thanks for the help everyone

I ran into this on my Hero when I was using a ROM that didn't support SMS yet and I was sending a long message. The only thing that fixed it was a wipe/reset. I am sure you have done that by now but that is what I had to do.
