how to shut off launcher2

I am using helixlauncher2, it's faster then launcher2 it still runs in the background, anyone know how to shut it off from running in the background

Use the homeswitcher app to set it as default.

I get switching the default homescreen but the launcher 2 is still running in the background wasting resorces

You will have to remove it. You can do this with adb or root explorer.

What rom are you running? Some have scripts that allow stuff like this to be removed easily.
