Can I teather my Droid?

Im not sure if this has been asked already... but I am new to the "Droid world" and I am wondering if their is any way to teather my Droid to use as a WIFI modem. Thanks

Only after you root the phone. You can then use a program called "Barnacle". It's available in the market.

i am pretty sure i have root on my droid. i tried using that barnacle app, but it wont work. is there any way i can tell if i have root?

it should request root access, if it doesnt.. your not rooted... if you need help rooting pm me

just use easy tether lite from the market. the free version is a lil slower than the paid version. no extra rooting or other steps required. enjoy.

The OP wants to use WiFi and there is no way that I know of to do that with out being rooted.

Sounds to me like you are not rooted. What did you use to root?

yeah i dont think i am either. i used the directions that "parkjam" posted on here, but im thinkin it didnt work. any suggestions?
