droid and no cell service

I'm thinking of cancelling my Verizon line. I'd like to know if the Droid would still fully work on wifi for anything not about phone calls and if I'd still be able to use market and Google maps? Use phone at home on wifi till I sold it.

Yes the phone will fully work besides phone calls and using it outside the range of any wifi signal.

what about when you flash a new rom or load an SBF and you have to activate the device before you can do anything with it?

on the activiation screen if you touch the four corners in order going clockwise u can get pass the activation screen. I wouldnt be suprosed if there was a youtube video on it.
