modding after update

Hi guys, I got my 2.1 update know would like to root phone. Is there any way to get this done...?

Not yet. You'll have to go back to the old rom and root. Then you can flash a 2.1 rom. You'll need to go to alldroid.org and get the SBF file to go back. The new update isn't rooted yet, but there are 2.1 based roms out that you can run (ese81).
