i won't make that mistake again!

So i waited and waited for the 2.1 update. What a waste! It was not worth the wait. Really wishing that i would have just rooted my phone a long time ago. Now im gonna have to wait until 2.1 can be rooted so I can really start having fun with this phone. So again I wait

Im with you on this one, The 2.1 really needs to get rooted and OC'd, there is def lag, where before it was hardly noticeable.

Go back to 2.01 with the SBF file that is located on alldroid. Then you can use the 2.01 to 2.1 rooted update to get a rooted 2.1 (also on alldroid).

Yea, I didn't really want to go that route but seeing how CyanogenMod 5.0.5.7, is using the ese81 build I think I might just do it friday

Re: i won't make that mistake again!

Cynogen mod is not using ese81. It is built using the ASOP files from Android. You see ESE81 in the phone section to help ensure that it is compatible to the Market and a few other things. Some of the drivers might be from ESE81 though (I'm not completely sure about that).

Re: i won't make that mistake again!

Everything is finished and seams to be working well, I'm running cyanogenmod-5.05.7 with the bekit kernnel at 1.1 7 slots, and the smoked glass-esque. My next question is with the OC, I have it running at 1.1 Max 550 Min with the cpu governor @ on demand, what is the best setting for the governor for speed and battery life? secondly is it just me or the led indicator doesn't work and the keyboard lights are not working?

LED only works when the screen is off... as for the keyboard lights mine work... sometimes they shut off a bit too quickly but they do work mostly.

Re: i won't make that mistake again!

Make sure "Auto Brightness" is turned on in settings if you are having Keyboard lighting issues.

I'm actually getting ready to move to Cyanogen. I am currently running UD9.8 but recent events have made me change my mind about the ROMs dev...

Plus Koush's CyanogenMod seems to be a very stable and feature rich ROM.
