I am a new Droid owner and so far it blows away the TP series of WM phones. rooting was easy and so was overclocking to 1GHz witht he evilboot1g.img file.

having a terminal emulator on the PC that can run commands directly on the phone, is nerd bliss.

I just came from the Imagio a few weeks ago. It was killing me to not mod a phone. What's funny is the imagio was unlocked the day after I got my Droid, but I have realized the Android OS is leaps and bounds ahead of WinMo. I won't be going back.

Thanks, it looks like for making droid ROM's, windows just doesn't cut it. Downloading slackware 13 now.

Well before ROM's I just want to build my own kernel, since that is what excites me lol and does not require any coding knowledge.
