Bear in mind, it's still got a lot of kinks... but to some they are worth it.

It works OK. Still a lot of issues.

Full screen weather animation shows white boxes moving across the screen.
GPS for maps doesn't work
Bluetooth not working
phone will not shut down
can only make and receive calls in 2g
3g works but you sacrifice making calls
if you disable WiFi you have to restart to get it working again (some seem to have issues with this not working at all)
Calendar app force closes upon opening
unless you run a swap file going back to the main screen causes all plugins to reload
No Service shows instead of network name
Market only works with WiFi
Can't download new HTC widgets

I'll post more as I find it.

All phone calls on Verizon's network are done over 2G (or 1X rather). 3G is for data only.

Yes, I know. What that means is that you can not have 3g data enabled and make or receive phone calls.

Ah gotcha. The original wording doesn't quite bring that across. Makes sense though.

I can double confirm everything blazingwolf said. There are a few tweaks for the rom to fix a few issues, but it's really not worth making the effort with a rom that isn't even an alpha release yet. They now have an actual Desire rom rather than a patched one, so the next release should be more stable. Even with all the kinks it is pretty sweet to see Sense on my phone.

Version X1b has been released by rainabba. It fixes GPS and some other things. Swap is mandatory with this version and you must follow the directions to get it working (located in the first post).

Still has major issues with calling with a 3g signal.

The new X2 version has just been released. It is working much better but still has the phone issue with 3G on. There is also a problem with Footprints breaking the camera but pretty much everything else seems to work now.

Still testing though.

With this version you must and a swap partition to your sdcard as well as a ext2 partition. Those total 768MB so they don't use much space on your card but help to make the ROM run really fast. I will post more as I find it.
