Sorry for bringing this post back up, but I have a Nexus 4 which has Gorilla Glass 2 and it has a light scratch but you can run your finger over it. Would you recommend trying this method, or going with a scratch filling protector like xoskins?

As i know the gorilla glass is scratch proof glass. For better safety you can use screen protector.
