OTA Blocker App

AdamZ posted an OTA update blocker which will block even being prompted for the update here.

SPRecovery has a failsafe that will prevent an update.zip from running unless the user authorizes it but this will prevent the OTA update from even getting to the phone.

It's been confirmed by Motorola and Verizon that the update will start to roll out today.

Re: OTA Blocker App

Can't get this to install with DroidMod for some reason. I can't even extract it. Since I have SPRecovery, It probably doesn't matter anyway.

Re: OTA Blocker App

Yeah the DroidMod guys want you to get the update and then provide it to them. I'm not surprised the don't allow this rom.tgz to be installed.

Well as long as it doesn't install, I don't care I guess.

Re: OTA Blocker App

Looks like they've delayed the upgrade yet again...no new date yet, just "TBD". See below:

Re: OTA Blocker App

You don't really need a patcher, just rename /etc/security/otacerts.zip.
