Not having done any downloading of ringtones, can I ask a dumb question: do you know where the files downloaded to? Onto your sd card? Which directory? Perhaps /sdcard/media/audio/...?

If you knew that then you can use a file manager such as Astro to delete the files.

Perhaps I oversimplified?

Re: delete ring tones

No your correct, use astro find the file hold and chose to delete it. Or go into the music app, select the playlist with the song/ringtone and delete it that way.
