Not everyone likes to have the same thing. It's kinda like cars. Not every one wants a Dodge Viper.

The Cyanogen Mod ROM does have some issues with video MMS. Not sure if it is fixed in the newest version that is being talked about today (5.0.5.6). Launcher 2 still has some glitches in it so it doesn't work perfectly yet but it is much better than it used to be.

I'm running The Beast as well and couldn't be happier. I got my Droid a couple of weeks ago and have tried just about every ROM out there and, in my opinion at least, none are as fast(w/ Adams OC'd @ 900mhz), stable and good looking as BB. I think I may have had 2 FC's while running this ROM compared to a few a day at minimum with most of the others.

I like droidmod myself because it's smooth, clean, stable, and fast. I've been running it since it was released, and I haven't had any problems with anything whatsoever. I can't say that for all of the other roms that I've tried before and since droidmod, even though many of them have a much higher coolness factor. But stability and speed are the most important things for me, and droidmod has both of those in spades. I can recall 2 FC's since installing it (and those were because I was trying to run programs that wouldn't run on a Droid), and it flies overclocked at 1ghz. It's also extremely peppy at 800mhz or even 600mhz.

I agree. I like Droidmod because it is simple and extremely fast. There are no bugs with it at all. I have been running it at 1.2ghz forever and my battery still lasts a full day. Don't get me wrong, I'm no fanboy, I just like what works well without the pain of tweaking everything. I had enough of that with my Tp2.

Same here. I loved my TP2, but all of the tweaking got a little old. At first I was hesitant to make the switch to the Droid, but now I wish I had done it sooner.

And you're right, battery life is great on droidmod. That's another reason I like it.

Switched from Droidmod to Adamz's...I had no problems with DroidMod...loved it. I just wanted to try a few other ROMS and ended with really liking Adamz's SM 6.0.1, helix luncher and all the usual bells and whistles'. I use setCPU to regulate my OCing but most of the time I am running 800-1 and have better bat life than on droidmod, no force closes and tons of fun, as well as lots of looks from everyone...esp the Ifags.
