Droid will not sync to windows 7

i have a motorola droid and it will not sync to my windows 7 pc via usb
after i restored windows 7 and now it wont sync it was working fine before that please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you install the right x86 or x64 drivers?

yea it started to sync and said could not install driver now it wont even try

Go in to device manager and delete the entry for your phone. This should get it to ask for the drivers again. Make sure that you use the correct drivers or you will run in to the same issue.

Well, you won't get help acting like that. It's not easy for people here to know exactly what's wrong with your computer that's causing it not to sync. It could be several different issues depending on what's installed/not installed. You haven't provided a lot of information. We don't even know if you're running 32 or 64 bit. I'm assuming you know about the notification to mount the drive since you said that it was working before. If the driver didn't install after a recovery of the OS, you should clearly be trying to track down information on that.

Here are the only usb drivers that Motorola lists on their website. It doesn't say that they support Android, so they may or may not work:

I'm pretty sure that the driver would be included in Media Link from Motorola, which is made for Android, but I haven't tried the software:

I was having this problem and discovered that I was using a bad/wrong USB cable. Started using the cable that came in the original Droid box and haven't had a problem since.

Thanks guys for the help i found the problem it was a freaking trojan it disabled my usb drives and my bluetooth crazy huh it was a dll trojan i had to reinstall windows 7 and now its all good thanks again guys
