Handcent SMS issues

So i downloaded the latest version of Handcen SMS and now all the sudden i am having issues sending text to certain numbers. Im getting that "add area code to send" message again but nothing has changed on my phone but the update, and its not all numbers, just a select few, some of which i text to on the daily so it is becoming very annoying. Anybody else using this app and having the same issue after update??? Need help, this is driving me nuts , oh and now its doing it with my factory SMS app also. I already tried uninstalling handcent and restarting the phone to use the factory app but its still doing it, i really wish i could revert back to the previous version of handcent. Too late now!

Re: Handcent SMS issues

I would think that if the native SMS is doing it as well, it is not really an issue with Handcent. All of my contacts have area codes included because there are so many with different area codes. You probably need to add in specific area codes to your contacts to fix the problem. If this has already been done, maybe try removing and reinstalling Handcent. I have never had this problem and I have used Hancent since I got my phone.
