questions about the home dock

so i just got my home dock and was wondering if its bad to leave your phone plugged into it all day 5 days a week?
does it hurt the battery at all?

or does it automatically stop charging when its full?

thanx

BTW google earth with GPS tracking ROCKS on Droid (overclocked to 800), but if your charging at the same time... it gets hot fast....

Re: questions about the home dock

yeah, i noticed that, im just wondering how quickly it discharges to a point where the dock starts charging it again....
i wouldnt think its good for the battery to cycle charging on/off every few minutes.... hours sound fine, but minutes seem too often...

It trickle charges so the battery never runs down. No harm to the battery this way.

Re: questions about the home dock

I don't know anything about the Droid's charging behavior, but I know that if you leave a laptop plugged in 24/7/365, it will kill the battery completely in about a year. Give or take a few months. I've seen it dozens of times with laptops we've put in service.
