Live Wallpapers on Rooted 2.0.1 (yay)

EDIT: I got force closes when running the automatic installer but it works perfectly after pushing the files manually through adb shell.

EDIT 2: BTW... it's AMAZING! Loving this.

So he's posted 2 methods. The first one is for a manual push to the phone which requires adb shell and also requires familiarity with it.

The second method is really easy you just download the file and place it in the sdcard's root directory (be sure not to put it in any folders on the sd card.)
>Reboot into recovery
>select install
>select Choose ROM from SD card
>select the Live-Wallpapers.rom.tgz

For me the second method didn't work and I needed to push the files from the zip to the system folder on the phone.

First I unzipped the file and placed it in C drive so it appeared as c:\Live-Wallpapers
(inside this folder was the unzipped 'system' folder)

I used "Root Explorer" app on the phone to mount the system folder as read/write

Opened command prompt on computer

cd C:/Live-Wallpapers
adb push system /system
((7 files pushed over))
adb shell
su
reboot

This did it for me.

Are live wallpapers part of a specific homescreen, or do they work on them all? I'm using Adamz Smoked Glass ROM, and don't want to give up the dedicated phone and web buttons if possible.

They are force closing everytime I try to view one.

nerderd, I'm using Adamz Smoked Glass ROM too. It doesn't replace anything it only adds the option for live wallpapers.

ACTUALLY, you can't interact with them unless you use the Launcher2, so it looks like you're in perfect shape.

(It's basically just 7 files that need to be added to your system folder on your phone)

They force closed on me when I did the automatic install too. I had to go to my nandroid backup and then manually push the files from the zip file to the phone in order to get it to work.

They seem to be working well for me with Droidmod 1.0. It is built in to the rom that I flashed via the updater.

I didn't realize that Droid mod had put out a new rom.
I installed 1.0 and they work great! Nice!
