Re: droidmod is up

I just flashed 2.0.6. Running it at 1ghz. seems to be very stable and fast since they removed the 2.1 launcher. They also removed the Droid Red Eye on boot up. It is now a screen that says SholesMod, which is odd considering it is now DroidMod. 2.0.6 seems like the best one yet.

UPDATE: I just set it at 1.2ghz and it is running super fast and stable. Looks like a winner.

Re: droidmod is up

I just used the updater and flashes the 1.0 ROM. So far so good. Does SetCPU completely work with this ROM?

Yes. I'm OC'd at 1200mhz and running smooth as stock with no heat issues. The 1.0 rom includes live wallpapers too.

Re: droidmod is up

Google earth works on the Droidmod 1.0 rom too, even though it is supposed to require 2.1.

Re: droidmod is up

I will try to overclock to 900 Mhz and see if it takes on the next reboot.
I suppose the maximum overclocking speed is CPU-chip dependent?

Re: droidmod is up

I've had nothing but problems running sholesmod/droidmod. I tried it out again yesterday to gain access to the Nexus One software on the market and my phone had random reboots every 20 minutes or so even when I set my processor clock to 600MHz.

I was having that problem too with my last phone. It didn't want to be modded at all. I put it back to stock and got a replacement due to peformance issues (no 3g connectivity) and my new phone works well with Droid Mod on 1200mhz max and min performance. I haven't had one single lockup or reboot since I flashed 2 days ago. I think it's an issue with some of the phones' software for some reason.
