The apps will stay installed on your phone. Once you get the new card in the phone, download Astro file manager and back them up. This will save them to the new card.

sorry, but not quite following... wouldnt i need to back them up first, then restore them on the new card?
i already have astro, ... just opened astro and performed an App back up, which appears to have created a new folder on the card called 'backups'. i assume i need to copy that to the new card and then perform an 'install' from astro? thanx Danny |

i just did the exact thing you're about to do. all i did was mount the old sd card on my computer and copy the files to a folder. then i unmounted, switched cards and mounted the new one. then i copied all the files to the new one and i was good to go without a hitch.
