Re: adb shell
Sounds like you're caught in a place I was. Turns out when you use adb shell you must be sure to have your sd card NOT mounted to your computer.
Another thing to be aware of is sometimes you're supposed to use adb shell when your phone is in the recovery console and sometimes you're supposed to use it when you're in the standard phone's desktop. If that's not it, verify the file they want you to modify is in the location that the instructions say it is, by navigating there using your phone's file manager. Good Luck. |

Re: adb shell
Awesome. Glad I could help.
Make sure to get your Nandroid backups going as a priority. I am currently using the Blue Smoked Glass ROM (2.0.1) I really like it and you don't have to wipe everything to install it either. There's alot of good 2.0.1 roms out there though, I am in the same mindset as you where I don't want to mess with 2.1 until there's a version designed for this phone. |

Re: adb shell
As far as cp not working, if you haven't installed busy box, it won't.if you have busy box installed, you need to pass commands through busybox. try typing busybox cp, and it should work
