Have you tried an up to date kernel? The earlier ones had some bugs.

Re: Overclock Your Droid. (800MHz, 900MHz and 1GHz)

I've been running at 800Mhz with no secondary profiles (charging etc.) since last Wednesday. I also did a full wipe on Wednesday as well, but now my battery is lasting longer than I recall it ever lasting.

I've also stopped getting force closes which was becoming an issue whenever I used a launcher outside of the stock one.

I must say that I'm overall very happy with how it's running now.

Are you plugged into a PC USB port when charging? That is much slower than using the media dock or plugged directly into the wall. Pretty standard with phones.

At 800MHz my phone is a pleasure to use. Very happy with speed and battery life. Blue Smoke rom rocks btw.

Zombie, have you used your brother's battery to see if it charges faster in your phone?

I noticed the Superuser folder after rooting the phone. What can go in there?
