Re: app chooser

Tough to answer. In short no.

It really sounds like you're still in the Windows mindframe. Generally speaking the Android stores system settings and runs the app in the background if you chose to open another app. It will stay running until resources dictate it be closed. Even then when you go back to the app it should still go to the same place you left it.

So it's not like WinMo, BB or Palm systems where you need to close or manage the apps running in the background. And if you want to re-open the app the best way is from the shortcut or the app drawer.

A couple things come to mind. First, I trust you are aware that holding down the Home button brings up a task manager showing the last 6 apps you opened that are still running.

Second, I don't use it any longer but I think task killer allowed you to open the application not just kill it. Similarly if you have Astro file manager, use Tools->Process Manager and long press on an app and select Open. Perhaps more steps that you wanted to do.

You're welcome. It's one of my favorite things about the Droid as an easy way to go back and forth between a couple apps I'm using.
